Privacy Policy

Short, because this site collects little. Google Analytics runs on it, you can switch that off from the notice or from the footer, and nothing here is ever sold to anybody.

Who this covers

Hunnu Construction, a kitchen and bathroom remodeling business working from 4100 NE 10th St, Renton, Washington 98059, and from 5900 119th Avenue Southeast, Bellevue, Washington 98006.

This policy covers hunnuconstruction.com, including the Bellevue section of it.

What we collect, and only when you give it

Visiting the site tells Google Analytics that a page was read. That is the only thing collected without you doing anything, it is covered below, and you can turn it off. There is no advertising pixel.

When you fill in the enquiry form we collect what you type into it: your name, your phone number, your email address, the town you are in, and whatever you write in the message. You can leave out either the phone or the email, though not both, because otherwise there is no way to send a price back.

The form also records where you came from: the referring website, and the campaign tags on the link if you arrived from an advertisement. That is how we know which adverts are worth paying for. It identifies a visit, not a person.

Where it goes

Your enquiry goes to GoHighLevel, the customer relationship system this business runs on. It is stored there, and the people who can see it are the owner and the staff who answer enquiries.

It is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone else for their own purposes. No advertising network receives it.

Analytics, and how to switch it off

Google Analytics runs on this site. It records which pages get read, roughly where the visit came from, and whether you arrived from a search, an advertisement or a link. That is how we know which pages are worth writing and which adverts are worth paying for. Google receives it and handles it under its own terms.

It is running when you arrive, and the notice at the bottom of the screen says so in the present tense rather than asking permission for something already happening. Decline and the tags stop, on that visit and on every visit after. Declining is one click, the same size as accepting. The link in the footer reopens the choice whenever you want it.

Analytics does not run on test versions of this site, only on the live one.

Photographs of your home

If you attach photographs to an enquiry, your browser shrinks them and sends them to the same system, where they are attached to your enquiry and nothing else. They are stored by Google Cloud Storage, which is the file store GoHighLevel uses.

These are pictures of the inside of your house, so two things are worth saying plainly. They are not published anywhere, and they are not used on this website or in any advertising unless you are asked separately and say yes. And if you would rather not send them at all, the form works without them.

The chat window

The chat window at the corner of the page is GoHighLevel's. It does not load until you click it, which is why the page does not slow down for people who never use it.

Once you open it, it is a third-party service and it may set its own cookies and record the conversation. Anything you type into it reaches the same place an enquiry does.

What your browser stores

Three things, and only the first is a tracking cookie.

Google Analytics sets its own cookies, which is how it tells one visit from the next. Decline the notice and they are never set.

The second holds where you arrived from, for the length of the browser session. It is cleared when you close the tab.

The third only exists if something goes wrong. If your enquiry fails to send, it is held on your device and tried once more the next time you load a page, so that a failure becomes a late enquiry rather than a lost one. It is deleted after six hours whether or not that worked.

Your answer to the cookie notice is kept as well, on your own device rather than in a cookie, so saying no to cookies does not set one.

What our host sees

The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps ordinary server logs: the pages requested, the time, the browser, and the IP address the request came from. That happens for every website and it is how a server works.

How long we keep it

Enquiries stay in the system while there is a reason to keep them: an active job, a warranty that is still running, or a conversation that has not finished. An enquiry that never became a job is deleted on request, and we will not ask you why.

Your rights, and how to use them

You can ask what is held about you, ask for a copy of it, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. You can also tell us to stop contacting you, and that is the end of it.

Call 206-940-1282 and ask. There is no form to fill in and no fee.

Changes to this policy

If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, because this site does not run one.

Want a copy of what we hold, or want it gone?

Call 206-940-1282 and ask. A person will deal with it rather than route you through a form, and you do not have to give a reason.
